Love Is The Drug - The Hotrats
This Roxy Music song is not one of my favorites. It’s always been one of those, I don’t know, tolerated classics. You turn on the radio, and there it is, but like Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” or “Addicted to Love” by Robert Palmer, you don’t skip it. The Hotrats at least play up the sexiness that I totally missed from the original. Maybe I just prefer Gaz Coombes’ voice. I have a thing for The Hotrats, as you might have noticed. I mean, since they are two thirds of Supergrass, I can’t help but love them.
And I have to tell you something. Being here, with you all, is addictive. I’m hooked. I love you guys.
Not even in a red-light district kind of way, except on Thursdays.
