A dude who talks a lot about a lot of things. Life, family, friends, music and barely contained bluster.

Friday flies by

The puppy peed right in the middle of the bed when we were trying to sleep last night. We threw off the sheets and covered the bed with a blanket and threw two more blankets on top. This morning, very early, my wife rolled over and took all the blankets with her. An hour later, I did the same thing to her. At five am, she took one blanket, I took the other, and we curled up on either side of the pee spot in our separate blankets.

The phone rang while I was eating a bowl of cereal. As I said hello, I choked on my cereal. I couldn’t even say anything, I just coughed and gagged and handed the phone to my wife. I’ve been blowing bits of frosted mini-wheats out of my nose ever since.

The major project that I’ve been working on for weeks on end (I’m a graphic designer, like Clint) is done today. I’m so excited! I want to celebrate! If they don’t take us out to lunch today, I’m going to be so upset, I’ll probably cry.

Not that I need to eat more. The last few weeks have been full of crunch-time eating, and I’ve gained back some of my lost poundage. Not enough to be noticeable, but enough so that I feel uncomfortable. No more Coke and donuts for a while.

The AV Club does a Friday Q&A and I like to answer it myself when it’s a good question, because I’m so important and all that. This week was about crushes on fictional characters. Man, that’s easy. I’ve always loved Psylocke from the X-Men. And Kate Beckinsale, when I first saw her as Hero in Much Ado About Nothing. And Daisy Duke. And Erin Grey from Buck Rogers. And The Little Mermaid. Those shells! And I always thought I’d get along with Sarah from Labyrinth. Most of these are crushes from my youth. Yes, I’m a dirty old man.
