Red Rabbits - The Shins

Both Chutes Too Narrow and Wincing The Night Away accompanied me through the winter and into the spring. I haven’t heard their other albums, except for the stuff on the Garden State soundtrack. The band already has an enticing oeuvre. But I’m not going to pretend I know what this song means. I generally have no idea what James Mercer is talking about. But the lyrics, even if they are far above my head, have a way of seeming profound in the context of the song. I’m guessing it’s about pain and love and stuff. See, I can enjoy it even if I don’t understand it.
