A dude who talks a lot about a lot of things. Life, family, friends, music and barely contained bluster.

My son stood up on his own for the first time today. No help. Just did it. Physical therapy said we are mere weeks away from him walking on his own.
Today is my father’s birthday. He’s 61. He’s still the coolest dude I know.
I wish I was going to see you fine folks in NYC this weekend. I’m shooting for Boston.
I just had to do a complete redesign of an ad, from scratch. It didn’t start out that way. But it sure ended up that way. Four people, looking over my shoulder, throwing out ideas, and me trying to do them all at once. I was this close to losing my cool. But I kept my mouth shut. It was the hardest thing I’ve done all day.
My wife called in the middle of it. I just said, “Eggplant.” That’s our safe word. She understood completely.
We had a fire drill that was not quite a fire drill today. When we got outside, the parking lot was full of cops and fire trucks. I’m very glad my workplace didn’t burn down today. And it was pretty warm out, so bonus.
We asked the night nurse to work early some day next week so we can go out for a date night. She sighed and hemmed and hawed and said she’d have to check with her husband. I was about ready to go off on her about her hours and how she works when we need her and not when it’s convenient for her, but I bit my tongue. She has no idea how good she has it. And my son is healthy enough that we don’t even really need her, so that’s my focus. Damn the man.
I gained and lost three followers yesterday, so you know, breaking even. Can’t complain. Strikes and gutters, man.
